The Anacostia Green Boat program offers FREE boat rentals to explore the beauty of the Anacostia River’s Kingman Lake section while also helping restore it! Reserve one of our 1-4 person boats today!

This Green Boats session takes place during Kingman Island Family Day. This is a shortened session and we will be using both canoes and kayaks! Your signup is good for 1 boat. Kayaks can hold 1-2 people. Canoes can hold 2-3 adults or 1-2 adults with 2-3 children (for 4 max total people in a canoe if 2 are children). 

It is 60 minutes total, with a safety/info talk to start, about 30 minutes on the water, and getting off the water at the end. The 10am session is the only one that can be scheduled online for Kingman Island Friends and Family Day. Besides this, the 11am session will be available for walk ups only! First come first served sign ups for that start at 10am on Heritage Island.  The trash sort will be taking place from 12-2pm for the trash collected during these 2 sessions.
